Leaving without penalty is a good example of a cult.
Not being allowed to question, not being allow to reason, not being allowed to "study" outside materials...... list goes on
i think one major point that proves that the jw's are a cult is that you can't leave without being stigmatized.
all you have to do for other religions is take your name of the membership log or just resign.
for jw's you can't leave unless you're df'd or da'd.

As for the assholes, you know who you are also.
Hey I got mentioned, whooo hoooo
Bye Hamas
much study is wearisome to the flesh.
I'm weary. I need to bring a bible to class. OK, enough messing around, back to books.
i was reading the news and discovered an article about 16 yr. olds who are fighting for their right to vote .
i had to think that if you are old enough to work and pay taxes you had the right to vote otherwise it's taxation without representation .
anyone have any thoughts on this .
Let's let 12 year olds vote. After all lots of them have newspaper routes
Ummm those guys only think they're straight
washington, sept. 17 president bush said wednesday that there was no evidence that former iraqi president saddam hussein was involved in the sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, disputing an impression that critics say the administration tried to foster to justify the war against iraq.
theres no question that saddam hussein had al-qaida ties, the president said.
but he also said, weve had no evidence that saddam hussein was involved with september the 11th.. the presidents comment was the administrations firmest assertion that there was no proven link between saddam and sept. 11. it came after vice president dick cheney clouded the issue sunday by saying, its not surprising people make that connection.. speaking on nbcs meet the press, cheney also repeated an allegation, doubted by many in the intelligence community, that mohamed atta, the lead sept. 11 attacker, met with a senior iraqi intelligence official in prague in the czech republic five months before sept. 11, 2001.. weve never been able to develop any more of that yet, either in terms of confirming it or discrediting it, cheney said sunday.
*yawn*
come on, can you really do it?
and is it really necessary?
i don't know about ya'll, but i often feed off my hatred, fear, anger.
Forgive but never forget is my motto. Makes it a bit more difficult to get stepped on twice.
do you mostly eat healthy?
survive mostly on junk foods and fast foods?
i waffle back 'n forth, myself.....graze for a while....then get into "cooking for la famiglia" mode, ruin my digestive system....and segue into junk!!!
I eat at least one meal a day at Taco Bell. Is that bad? My usual is 2 or 3 soft tacos with a huge diet coke. I never drink anything with sugar in it.
I exercise daily regardless of how I feel. If I have a cold I'll exercise indoors, but I love to work out. I honestly don't have an ounce of fat on me but my eating habits will probably turn me into a much bigger version of myself eventually.
At home I live below several mountains and I ride my mountain bike there almost every day. At college there are lots of great trails to ride close by, but somedays it's just the gym.
My parents are also into working out. They've stayed healthy although my dad tends to gain weight if he slows down the exercise. Mom is as thin as I am.
a kiss is just a kiss.
one day a teacher had a taste test with her students.. she picked a little boy to do the first test.
she blindfolded him, put a. hershey kiss in his mouth and asked, "do you know what it is?
OK I just told my roomies that one. We all had a good laugh
i am so in the dark.
i do not know what's going on and, quite frankly, i don't care to.
perhaps there is bliss in ignorance.
I have been on forums for a few years now and this is the only place I found myself involved in a feud. It also was the last place I expected to be in a feud. Goes to show you.
But it's over.
